However, almost all yarn and dyed fabric require chemicals such disperse dyes in the clothing-making process. These chemicals or synthetic fibers may lead to problems like dermatitis (itchy, red skin, or a rash).
A delayed reaction may occur if you’re prone to allergy or are immunocompromised. This could be a rash appearing a couple of days after exposure lasting for weeks. However, the occurrence of an immediate skin reaction to textiles is extremely rare, and irritant contact dermatitis does not spread.
